Kevin Mitchell was a partner at an AmLaw 50 firm with more than a decade of litigation experience when he decided to forge a new path. Mitchell Litigation & Advocacy was formed to bring that experience to a leaner, more innovative platform aimed at providing exceptional service and competitive value.
Kevin has represented many of the largest financial institutions and agricultural companies in the country. He has also represented individuals, emerging and middle-market companies, manufacturers, school districts, and trustees in a wide range of business and consumer matters.
He has been named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers® in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2020. Kevin is a 2017 graduate of the Indiana State Bar Association’s Leadership Development Academy and received the “Forty Under 40” designation from Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly.
Background
A seasoned trial lawyer, Kevin has tried numerous cases in state and federal court, both to the bench and to juries. Kevin has also argued before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago.
In an age of specialists, Kevin prides himself on his broad litigation background, which includes breach of contract, breach of warranty, non-compete claims, business torts, and successor liability claims. He also has deep experience in Agriculture and Financial Services industries, including litigation and bankruptcy matters.
Kevin is licensed to practice in Indiana. He is admitted to practice in the following courts:

Meet Kevin Mitchell
Kevin is an Ohio native. He graduated with honors from Ashland University and Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he received the Dean Dunmore Moot Court Award, he was named to The Order of the Barristers, and he graduated with honors. Kevin moved to Indiana in 2007 to join a national firm, where he spent the first 12 years of his litigation and trial practice.
Above all, Kevin treasures his family and the relationships he has developed over the years with friends, colleagues, fellow lawyers, and clients. Kevin and his wife, Kim, are proud parents of four children in the Northwest Allen County Schools.
Outside of his legal practice, Kevin enjoys reading, coaching youth basketball, and all things related to The Silent Subway Tile Company.
